this week our group have
had lots of work but also relaxing time also. This week weather report this, week rain on the 2 out of the 7 days. perfect day to run or get out doors and ride them trams in halle. Our group has baked cookies for our neighbors this way we could show christ love and get to know our neighbors in each flat we are the top there is a indoniesian family under us and they have kids that are just learning englisch in school so we talked about why we are doing this and enjoying ourself with god. we made m and m ´s with dough that looked more like a cake. me and shaina decided to double the recipe to make it go quicker and when this happens it doesn´t turn out to good a little on the dry side so the m and m´s hardly stuck to the dough. then popped then into the oven at 350 degrees to bake cookies we either left them in to long or it was to hat so the next batch we switched somethings. the m and m´s
burnt a little to long this way we could have cracked over cooked m and m´s. this was a funnny act of opening the windows and plenty of jokes to go along with it as we baked and gave generously. the next batch was not so complicated jen and janae did it the slowere way of making one batch at a time which is the better and everthing worked out better then once janae and jen cam into the kitchen. we had music blarring in the background newsboys or kj 52. it is pronounced K J FIVE TWO which stands for the K J means nothing (it doesn´t stand for king james) and the FIVE TWO is when jesus gave the 5loaves of bread and 2 fish and gave generously. to freinds and family. we also did house cleaning and went shopping for groceries. this is fun when you don´t know where everything is. then plenty of german studies alone and with our teacher miriam and I also practiced being teacher a little bit with flash cards and a little game of dutch blitz to learn our numbers. It is fun (i think) without a TV we talk more be more open and pray about it if there is a struggle and our favoite part is listening to the radio or with cds. this weeks main concern was praying for what god wants us to do in halle we had 2 days with prayer not counting our devotions or other reading bible etc. then we prayed aboutr the church and how it wants to grow. this week we were plugged into cell groups with the german families and they have a prayer time and discuss what we can do to grow closer to god. and sit eat lebkucken which is gingerbread. and fruits and a drink then play guitar and sing songs fellowship together and etc. these gruops seemed like a good match but we are just testing which ones we want to go to in feburary we start with the group we pick.
then it happened that eric and val decided to go on a date to the harts mountains and to have relaxing time along. they are suppost to have god ranked first then there relationship between the two of them and then the group and then there missions next. we stuck to our bed times (not the girls but that is ok when you have your room to your self. you go to bed earlier than the reast of the crowds and then i get up at 7:30 or 8 and have quiet times till 10 or eleven. then go on with our dayly lives in halle.
I have been sad that my bike had a flat tire but i got to go running around town.
then last night we ate rabbit a wonderful dinner made by janae and I helped and daryl helped (he is a good cook) and we had rabbit and green beans and I slices potatoes and potato flats with eggs and butter and potatoes fryed. I got full for once in germany. we runnn around and are busy but fun busy when we go
